Becoming Schwiizer ist eine App zum Lernen von Schweizerdeutsch. Wir wollen Deine Daten so wenig wie möglich anfassen und sie nie weiterverkaufen. Hier steht, was wir trotzdem brauchen und warum.

Was wir speichern

  • E-Mail-Adresse — wenn Du Dich mit einem Magic-Link oder 6-stelligen Code einloggst. Damit erkennen wir Dich beim nächsten Besuch und können Dir Login-E-Mails schicken. Rechtsgrundlage: Vertrag (Art. 6 (1) b DSGVO).
  • Zahlungsdaten — Aktuell erheben wir keine Zahlungen. Sobald kostenpflichtige Funktionen verfügbar sind, werden Zahlungsdaten direkt von der jeweiligen Plattform bzw. dem App-Store (z. B. Google Play) erhoben, nie von uns.
  • Lernfortschritt — wird primär lokal in Deinem Browser (localStorage) gespeichert. Nur falls Du eingeloggt bist, sichern wir den Fortschritt auch auf unserem Server, damit Du das Gerät wechseln kannst.
  • Feedback-Nachrichten — wenn Du uns über die Feedback-Box in den Einstellungen schreibst, erhalten wir Deinen Text (und Deine E-Mail-Adresse, falls Du sie angibst) per E-Mail an hello@schwiizer.app. Wir nutzen das nur, um die App zu verbessern und Dir ggf. zu antworten. Rechtsgrundlage: berechtigtes Interesse (Art. 6 (1) f DSGVO).

Was wir nicht tun

  • Keine Werbe-Cookies, keine Tracker, kein Google Analytics.
  • Keine Weitergabe an Werbenetzwerke oder Dritte zu Marketingzwecken.
  • Keine Profiling-Algorithmen.
  • Mikrofon: «aufnehmen & vergleichen» läuft komplett auf Deinem Gerät — Aufnahmen werden nie hochgeladen und nie gespeichert.

Dienstleister, die wir nutzen

Diese Anbieter verarbeiten in unserem Auftrag Daten:

  • Cloudflare (USA) — Hosting der Login-Backend-Infrastruktur (KV-Speicher, Workers). Datenschutz
  • Resend (USA) — Versand von Login- und Feedback-E-Mails. Datenschutz
  • Porkbun (USA) — Domain & E-Mail-Weiterleitung. Datenschutz
  • Google (Gmail) — interner Empfang weitergeleiteter E-Mails an hello@schwiizer.app.
  • GitHub Pages (USA) — Auslieferung der statischen App-Dateien. Datenschutz

Übertragungen in die USA stützen sich auf das EU-US Data Privacy Framework und Standardvertragsklauseln.

Wie lange wir Daten behalten

E-Mail und Lernfortschritt bleiben gespeichert, solange Dein Konto besteht. Du kannst Dein Konto jederzeit selbst löschen: in der App unter Einstellungen → Konto löschen oder über schwiizer.app/delete — dabei werden E-Mail, Fortschritt und Sitzungen entfernt. Oder schreib uns an hello@schwiizer.app.

Deine Rechte

Auskunft, Berichtigung, Löschung, Einschränkung, Widerspruch, Datenübertragbarkeit (Art. 15–22 DSGVO). Anfragen per Mail an hello@schwiizer.app. Beschwerderecht bei der Berliner Beauftragten für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.

Becoming Schwiizer is an app for learning Swiss German. We want to touch your data as little as possible and never resell it. Here's what we do need and why.

What we store

  • Email address — if you sign in with a magic link or 6-digit code. Used to recognize you next time and send login emails. Legal basis: contract (Art. 6 (1) b GDPR).
  • Payment data — We currently do not collect any payments. Once paid features become available, payment data is collected directly by the respective platform or app store (e.g. Google Play), never by us.
  • Learning progress — stored primarily in your browser (localStorage). Only if signed in, we sync progress to our server so you can switch devices.
  • Feedback messages — if you write to us via the feedback box in settings, we receive your text (and your email address, if you include it) by email to hello@schwiizer.app. Used only to improve the app and reply to you. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) f GDPR).

What we don't do

  • No ad cookies, no trackers, no Google Analytics.
  • No sharing with ad networks or third parties for marketing.
  • No profiling algorithms.
  • Microphone: "record & compare" runs entirely on your device — recordings are never uploaded and never stored.

Service providers

These providers process data on our behalf:

  • Cloudflare (US) — login backend hosting (KV store, Workers)
  • Resend (US) — sending login and feedback emails
  • Porkbun (US) — domain & email forwarding
  • Google (Gmail) — internal receipt of forwarded mail to hello@schwiizer.app
  • GitHub Pages (US) — static app file hosting

Transfers to the US are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses.

Retention

Email and progress: as long as your account exists. You can delete your account yourself at any time: in the app under Settings → Delete account, or via schwiizer.app/delete — this removes email, progress and sessions. Or email us at hello@schwiizer.app.

Your rights

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection, portability (GDPR Art. 15–22). Requests to hello@schwiizer.app. Right to complain to the Berlin data protection authority.
